Fire billowed from the doorway behind him silhouetting his body as Jack ran clear, ducking to avoid the rush of smoke and heat that followed him.
“Colonel!”
“It's done; everybody move now.”
The four figures ran from the complex and kept running as more explosions ripped it apart. Fire followed them as they made their way to the safety of the trees.
Sam looked up. “That was close,” she panted.
Daniel nodded, looking at Teal'c as they all caught their breath. “Too close.”
Jack nodded. “All in a day's work. That snake's not gonna bother anyone again. Let's go home.”
