Blind Man's Bluff

Jacob laughed as he watched his grandchildren run rings around their father. Mark was standing in the centre of the room a scarf tied tightly round his eyes; his hands outstretched trying to catch them. He had been spun round several times first and was slightly off balance.
“Missed me!” Jen called dodging his grip again.
Ryan sneaked up behind his father and poked him, neatly skipping out of the way as Mark turned.
Selmak watched confused. ~What is the point?~ she asked.
~There is no point~ Jacob answered. ~It's just a game.~
~Hmmmm seems a good way to get hurt if you ask me~ she replied.
~Maybe we should be IT then~ Jacob suggested, getting up and joining in and fixing it so he got caught.
Jen laughed delightedly. “Grandad's it… Grandad's it…” she said in a singsong way.
Jacob let them tie the blindfold over his eyes.
~Jacob…~ Selmak said. ~I can't see.~
As they spun him round Jacob replied ~That would be the point.~
Selmak wasn't sure about this, especially as Jacob pushed her fore, reminding her to use his voice. She lurched round the room, hands outstretched, trying to find them by their voices. It was a lot harder than it looked. Finally her hands grabbed hold of something. “Got you! You're it!” She wondered why everyone was suddenly laughing hysterically. She pulled off the blindfold and realised she was clutching the standard lamp.
“Nice try Grandad,” Mark said grinning. “Wanna try that one again.”
Jacob poked his tongue out at him. “Sure.” He closed his eyes took three steps and grabbed Jen tightly. “You're it.” Then he turned to Selmak. ~So still think its pointless?~
She shrugged. ~Well if the lamp can't play~ she said huffily.
Jacob laughed. ~Look on the bright side Sel~ he teased. ~At least it shed some light on the game for you.~
