In 1997 an elite squad was formed by the President to do a job they didn't expect. Comprising USAF officers, an archaeologist and an alien jaffa, they were immediately assigned to an underground base at Cheyenne Mountain, working under the cover story of deep space radar technology. Today, still working for the government, they protect this planet from alien invasion by gating to other worlds via a big metal ring. If you have a problem with glowing eyed snakes or replicators, if no one else can help and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the SGC team.
