Jack's spoonful of fruit loops hovered just in front of his mouth. There was something all too familiar about this scene. Any minute now Daniel was going to say “Anyway I'm sorry but that just happens to be how I feel about it. What do you think?” Then Carter was going to look at him as if he'd grown an extra head… where as he had really kissed her hard in the control room after handing in his resignation. Course that was after he and Teal'c had played golf through the Stargate. Maybe today they could redecorate Hammond 's office… pink would look good or maybe a nice psychedelic orange and lime.
Daniel looked at him. “Anyway I'm sorry but that just happens to be how I feel about it. What do you think?”
Jack dropped the spoon and looked at him. ”What do I think?” he paused. “I think this sucks. Having fruit loops for breakfast every day over and over and over sucks. Not having a life sucks. In fact everything sucks.” He picked up the bowl of breakfast and tossed it across the room. It made a satisfying thud on the wall. “I don't even like fruit loops anyway!”
Ignoring the horrified looks he got from his 2IC and from Daniel, never mind everyone else in the room he shoved his hands in his pockets and sauntered out of the room.
Carter ran after him. “Sir… you can't just leave it like that…”
“Oh trust me Carter I can…” He looked at his watch. “Cos in nine hours and 45 minutes no one is even gonna know I did it. Now if you'll excuse me… I have some decorating to do.”
